The international agency emphasized that depriving girls of schooling will have long-term consequences for the entire society.

Meanwhile, OCHA highlighted the concerns of a mother living in Bamyan province. She expressed her fear that her daughter might be deprived of a bright future and lose life opportunities due to the continued ban on education.

Since the Taliban returned to power, girls beyond the sixth grade have been barred from attending school. Additionally, extensive restrictions have been imposed on higher education, women’s employment, and women’s movement without a male guardian. These policies have drawn widespread domestic and international criticism, with human rights organizations repeatedly calling for the immediate removal of educational restrictions on girls.

Education experts believe that continuing this situation not only jeopardizes the individual future of girls but also poses serious challenges to the country’s development and self-sufficiency—a matter that has now become one of the global community’s most pressing concerns regarding Afghanistan.

UN OCHA highlights that investing in girls’ education is key to Afghanistan’s future, warning of long-term societal impacts from ongoing restrictions.

[17,4

post-17732","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-politics
["GET
