Under this arrangement, commercial cargo shipments will be transferred between Tehran and Dushanbe via Afghan territory.

Yar Mohammad Ramazan, Head of Road Transport Treaties and Laws at the ministry, led a delegation to participate in the tripartite meeting held in the Iranian city of Mashhad. According to officials, the discussions focused on expanding transport cooperation, developing transit routes, and addressing technical issues related to road transport.

Participants stated that the agreement aims to facilitate the transit of goods, reduce transport barriers, and strengthen transit relations among the three countries. According to the proposed plan, Afghanistan will play a central role as the transit route for commercial goods between Iran and Tajikistan.

Due to its geographical location at the heart of the region, Afghanistan has considerable potential to connect Central Asia with South Asia and other neighbors. The establishment of regional corridors is seen as a program that can boost trade and reduce the cost of cargo transport; however, the implementation of such initiatives depends on stability, effective management, and the availability of adequate infrastructure within the country.

Afghanistan, Iran, and Tajikistan agree to create a tripartite road transport corridor to facilitate trade and transit between Tehran and Dushanbe via Afghanistan.

[7

post-17719","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business
["GET
