India’s Ministry of External Affairs has confirmed that the Kabul-Delhi air corridor remains active, with the uninterrupted transfer of commercial goods between Afghanistan and India continuing along this route. According to the ministry, trade through this corridor is proceeding normally.<\/p>\n
Randeep Guleria, spokesperson for India\u2019s Ministry of External Affairs, stated that Attaullah Omari, acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock of the Taliban administration, during his recent trip to Delhi, held discussions with Indian officials on expanding trade and agricultural cooperation.<\/p>\n
He added that the Taliban’s agriculture minister met with India\u2019s Agriculture Minister, the Minister of Food Processing Industries, and a senior official from the Ministry of External Affairs to exchange views.<\/p>\n
These remarks come as India has been striving in recent months to maintain its trade relations with Afghanistan, also utilizing alternative routes for the transportation of goods. The Kabul-Delhi air corridor is one of the key channels for moving commodities between the two countries, facilitating exports and imports.<\/p>\n
The ongoing operation of this corridor is particularly significant given the banking restrictions and transit challenges that have posed serious obstacles to Afghanistan\u2019s foreign trade since the Taliban took control.
