A senior official from the Sanaa government’s Foreign Ministry announced that the process of lifting the blockade on Sanaa Airport has started and will not be limited to a single step. Abdullah Sabri told Al Mayadeen network that Saudi Arabia bears responsibility for the consequences of its attacks on Yemen and that the status of “neither peace nor war” must come to an end.

He emphasized that Yemen’s response is not limited to reopening Sanaa Airport but involves a broader framework to lift the comprehensive blockade and halt attacks. According to him, the first practical step to break the siege has been taken, but the process will continue.

Sabri added that breaking the blockade can proceed via military means or political solutions, and that the decision currently rests with Saudi Arabia. He said political options remain open provided they do not conflict with the rights of the Yemeni people and that the situation does not revert to the previous status.

Meanwhile, Yemen’s armed forces issued a stern warning to airlines about crossing Saudi airspace yesterday. Sanaa also announced the implementation of a “airport-for-airport and blockade-for-blockade” equation.

These developments followed Saudi warplanes targeting Sanaa Airport on Monday; according to Yemeni sources, the strike aimed to prevent the arrival of a civilian Iranian aircraft but was unsuccessful.

The blockade of Sanaa Airport is starting to lift as Yemeni officials warn Saudi Arabia amid escalating tensions and recent airstrikes on the airport.

[17,6

post-17591","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-international
["GET
