The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment announced that Afghan traders have signed agreements worth 446.62 million Afghanis with their counterparts from the Republic of Dagestan and the Tyumen region of Russia, as well as Kazakhstan. These memorandums of understanding were signed on Monday during a face-to-face business-to-business (B2B) meeting between Afghan traders and investors and a joint trade delegation from these countries in Kabul.<\/p>\n
According to the chamber’s newsletter, officials from the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment, several traders and investors from the country, as well as members of the Russian and Kazakh trade delegations, attended the meeting. Participants discussed trade opportunities, investment capacities, and ways to expand bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n
The chamber added that these agreements cover sectors including building materials, medicine and health products, foodstuffs, and agricultural services; sectors that have been central to Afghanistan’s trade exchanges with regional countries in recent years.<\/p>\n
Abdulnafi Barkzai, Deputy for Support of Domestic Products and Production at the chamber, stated that holding such meetings plays a significant role in promoting trade, attracting investment, and introducing the country’s economic opportunities. He also emphasized the importance of cooperation between government institutions and the private sector to strengthen economic growth.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Elisovich, Deputy Director of the Tyumen Chamber of Commerce, expressed appreciation to the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment for hosting and described the visit as constructive.
