According to a statement issued by the Afghan embassy in Turkey, Mr. Farahmand expressed his condolences during a meeting with the Qatari ambassador. He also registered his message of sympathy in the memorial book for the former Emir of Qatar.<\/p>\n
Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani was considered a prominent political figure in the region, playing an active role in diplomatic developments in the Middle East during his reign. In recent years, Qatar has been one of the hosts of political talks related to Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
