The Baloch Solidarity Committee of Pakistan has alleged that several former soldiers of the previous Afghan government are participating in the Pakistani army’s military operations against the Baloch population in the province of Balochistan. The statement noted that in recent months, reports from various parts of Balochistan have emerged indicating that some former Afghan soldiers have been present alongside Pakistani forces in military operations and what has been described as “violent actions against the Baloch people.” According to Maherang Baloch, this issue could have security repercussions and damage the historical relations between the Baloch people and the people of Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
The head of the Baloch Solidarity Committee also claimed that some of these individuals participated in military operations in the Zahri area. He quoted residents of the Mastung region as saying that a group of former Afghan soldiers, with the support of the Pakistani army, seized a school and converted it into a military base.<\/p>\n
The statement further emphasized that individuals with war and displacement experience in Afghanistan should not be involved in military operations against Baloch civilians. Maherang Baloch called on the leaders of the previous Afghan government to investigate these allegations and prevent the use of the name and background of former soldiers in such operations.<\/p>\n
