The Taliban’s Ministry of Interior announced that school supplies, including stationery and other essential educational materials, have been distributed to students of Barikot High School in Nari District, Kunar Province. These aids were provided by the Ministry’s General Directorate of Public Relations and distributed in coordination with local officials in Ghaziabad and Nari districts.<\/p>\n
The distribution ceremony was held in the presence of the Public Relations officer and media representatives from the Kunar Police Command. Officials stated that the purpose of this initiative is to support the education process and create a suitable environment for students to continue their studies.<\/p>\n
During the event, local authorities emphasized the importance of education and said supporting the country’s future generation and establishing an appropriate educational environment is a shared responsibility of all segments of society. However, this initiative comes amid the continued widespread restrictions imposed by the Taliban administration on girls’ education at many levels\u2014an issue that has consistently drawn both domestic and international criticism.<\/p>\n
The Public Relations officer of the Kunar Police Command also noted that besides maintaining security, the Ministry of Interior pays attention to its social responsibilities and regards supporting the youth as part of these duties.<\/p>\n
