According to these officials, the driver has been detained.<\/p>\n<p>Saifuddin Laton, spokesperson for the Taliban governor in Panjshir, stated that the incident occurred on Friday, 19 Saratan, in the Hesa Awal district. He added that a Corolla-type vehicle hit four children due to the driver&#8217;s excessive speed and negligence. While exact ages of the victims were not provided, sources indicated that they were young children.<\/p>\n<p>Laton confirmed that the driver was arrested by security forces following the incident. Local sources also identified the exact location of the accident as the Omarz area in Hesa Awal district and said the driver was a tourist who had come to Panjshir for leisure.<\/p>\n<p>Panjshir&#8217;s roads are considered among the most accident-prone in the country due to their narrowness and numerous bends. Nevertheless, local residents have repeatedly criticized the Taliban administration&#8217;s lack of attention to improving transportation infrastructure and traffic management in the province.
