The discussions emphasized the expansion of trade, economic, and transportation cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>According to the embassy&#8217;s newsletter, both sides discussed establishing direct relations between Afghan and Russian traders and highlighted Afghanistan&#8217;s important role in regional transport corridors. The &#8216;North-South&#8217; corridor is considered one of the key transit routes linking Russia, Central Asia, and other regions.<\/p>\n<p>The embassy added that the Russian side has invited Afghan officials and traders to participate in the international &#8216;North-South&#8217; forum in Astrakhan.
