Describing the purpose of her visit to Kabul as evaluating migrant conditions, monitoring support programmes, and reviewing the needs of returnee-hosting areas, the High Commissioner expressed concern over the expulsion of Afghan migrants from Pakistan and Iran. She called for trilateral and quadrilateral meetings to resolve these issues and ensure the dignified return of migrants.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the UN Development Programme head, after visiting development projects in Jalalabad and Mazar-e-Sharif, underscored the importance of continued international cooperation to strengthen Afghanistan\u2019s economic growth and utilize its internal capacities.<\/p>\n
Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, referring to the extensive migration caused by prolonged conflict, said the Taliban administration seeks to prioritize economic projects and regional connectivity. He added that despite economic constraints, millions of returnees and displaced individuals have received services; however, field reports indicate many returnees still face shortages of shelter, employment, and essential services, highlighting the need for more practical and transparent programmes.<\/p>\n
