They discussed Afghanistan’s permanent membership and increased participation in SICA meetings. During the meeting, support for Afghan farmers to cultivate alternative crops to narcotics was also addressed. Based on a press release, key discussion points included providing improved seeds, chemical fertilizers, and launching short-term training programs for staff in departments under Taliban administration.<\/p>\n
The Afghan Embassy stated that the purpose of the visit was to strengthen engagement with regional organizations and create more cooperation opportunities between Afghanistan and SICA. SICA is an intergovernmental framework at the Asian level aimed at expanding confidence-building and multilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n
