No further details about the nature of his illness have been disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>In its statement, the Afghanistan Cricket Board described Shapoor Zadran as one of the pioneers of modern cricket in the country, noting that his passion and efforts played a significant role in expanding the sport nationwide. Over the past two decades, cricket has become one of the most popular sports among Afghanistan&#8217;s youth.<\/p>\n<p>Shapoor Zadran was born in 1987 in Paktia province in eastern Afghanistan.
