The funeral procession for the pure body of the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution began this morning, Monday, July 6, at 6 AM in Tehran. Organizers have announced that the ceremony will continue until 5 PM, after which the sacred body will be prepared for transfer to the city of Qom.<\/p>\n
This ceremony follows two days of farewell rituals held at Imam Khomeini Mosalla. From the early hours of dawn, a large crowd of Tehran residents and other participants gathered along the designated routes.<\/p>\n
The announced routes for the procession include Damavand Street, Imam Hossein Square, Enghelab and Azadi Streets, Azadi Square, and Shahid Lashkari Highway. The movement of the crowd in these areas began from the early morning hours.<\/p>\n
Sardar Hassan Zadeh, commander of Tehran\u2019s Basij forces, said the vehicle carrying the pure bodies is scheduled to enter Shahid Lashkari Highway from Azadi Square to ensure the ceremony concludes on time. According to him, arrangements have been made so that the sacred body will be transferred to Qom before the Maghrib call to prayer.<\/p>\n
