Officials from Herat’s Department of Industry and Mines report that around 45 factories dedicated to stone production and processing are currently active in the province’s industrial park. Some of the products from these factories are exported abroad.<\/p>\n
Mohammad Nasir Amin Bakhtar, head of Herat\u2019s Industry and Mines Department, stated that the stone industry in the province has reached a stage of self-sufficiency, with products being exported to Turkmenistan, Iran, and several Arab countries. According to him, this development has expanded regional markets for Herat’s products.<\/p>\n
According to provided information, millions of dollars have been invested in the extraction, production, and processing of stone in Herat. Officials add that these investments have fostered industrial growth, increased exports, and created job opportunities.<\/p>\n
These factories produce various types of ornamental stones in different sizes and shapes, which are renowned for their quality and hold a strong position in both domestic and international markets.<\/p>\n
