According to published information, the program covers several urban areas and districts within these two provinces.

On Sunday, 14th Saratan (July 5), the organization stated on its X (formerly Twitter) page that the campaign will take place in Kandahar city, Lashkargah—the capital of Helmand province—as well as in the districts of Nahre Saraj, Musa Qala, Washir, and Nade Ali/Marjah. The objective of this initiative is to administer the polio vaccine to children under the eligible age and to prevent the spread of poliomyelitis.

Officials involved in the campaign have once again urged families to vaccinate their children on time to contribute to the eradication of polio. They emphasized that family cooperation plays a crucial role in protecting children from contracting this disease.

These polio vaccination campaigns continue despite significant challenges such as limited access to some areas, ongoing displacement of families, and children missing out on vaccination. Ensuring safe access for health teams to all regions and facilitating widespread awareness campaigns remain essential responsibilities. It is expected that the Taliban administration, in coordination with health organizations, effectively addresses these issues to ensure that no child is deprived of vaccination.

A polio vaccination campaign starts in Kandahar and Helmand, aiming to vaccinate children and prevent polio amid access challenges.

[9,17

post-16703","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-health","category-important-news
["GET
