According to the department, this year 1,092 hectares of land in Panjshir have been allocated for potato farming, while last year the figure was 918 hectares.<\/p>\n<p>Qari Fazlullah Diyuband, head of the Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock Department in Panjshir, stated that the expansion of cultivated areas is a result of greater attention by farmers to producing this crop.<\/p>\n<p>He added that with the increase in cultivated land and favorable conditions, the potato yield this year is also expected to rise compared to last year.
