According to the ministry, two separate drones entered the embassy premises, with one releasing a payload of red paint over the area.

In an official statement, the ministry said the second drone landed near the embassy building carrying a fake object resembling an improvised explosive device. Moscow described the incident as an “obvious attempt to intimidate” the staff of its diplomatic mission and called it unacceptable.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also criticized Swedish authorities, stating that similar incidents occur systematically in Stockholm. The ministry alleged that the Swedish government has failed to fulfill its obligations under the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, particularly regarding the security of foreign missions.

Moscow added that Swedish law enforcement agencies have recorded previous incidents but there has been no significant progress in investigations related to dozens of attacks over the past two years. Russia stressed that Sweden would bear responsibility for any potential future attacks and their consequences.

Russia reports a drone attack on its embassy in Stockholm, criticizing Sweden for failing to ensure diplomatic mission security under the Vienna Convention.

[6

post-16481","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-international
["GET
