Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar, Executive Director of Afghanistan\u2019s Da Afghanistan Breshna Company, held discussions with officials from the Turkish company NKY regarding investment in power generation facilities and related projects in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
The Press Office of the Emirates General Company issued a statement announcing that during the meeting, the Executive Director of Breshna expressed appreciation for the interest shown by Turkish investors and emphasized that the necessary conditions and facilities for investment, especially in power generation and infrastructure and development projects, are available. He assured that investors can confidently operate in these sectors.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Hakan Boz, Deputy of NKY, stated that the company operates in 20 countries worldwide in constructing power generation facilities and investing in renewable energy. NKY now intends to invest in rebuilding power production facilities as well as generating electricity from waste in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
The energy sector in Afghanistan has faced serious challenges in recent years due to a shortage of domestic production and reliance on electricity imports. Although the Taliban administration speaks of providing investment opportunities, ongoing legal uncertainties and banking restrictions remain concerns among some economic actors.<\/p>\n
