The Afghan Ministry of Defense announced that Afghan air forces struck multiple ISIS-affiliated centers last night in Pakistan’s Balochistan province and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region. According to the ministry, these centers were used to plan and coordinate attacks against Afghanistan, including assaults on civilians.<\/p>\n
According to a statement from the Ministry of Defense’s press office, one of these strikes occurred in the Saranan area of the Pishin district in Balochistan. The ministry said this location was being used to organize sabotage activities and plan attacks inside Afghanistan.<\/p>\n
Additionally, another ISIS center in the Qambar Khil area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with a joint facility associated with ISIS and what the ministry described as “agents of evil and corruption” in the Garm Chashma area of Darra Shahi Salim, Chitral, were targeted. The Ministry of Defense added that these operations were carried out based on intelligence information.<\/p>\n
The ministry stated that preliminary assessments indicate heavy casualties and significant material damage among ISIS members and their supporters as a result of these airstrikes. The Ministry of Defense emphasized that no civilians were harmed during the operations.<\/p>\n
