The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has reported that recent airstrikes by Pakistani military forces on parts of Paktia, Paktika, and Kunar provinces have resulted in at least 28 civilian deaths and 49 injuries.<\/p>\n
UNAMA stated in a press release that women and children are among the victims of these attacks. According to the agency, a single airstrike in Charkani district of Paktia province killed 22 civilians and injured 47 others.<\/p>\n
