The Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that following Pakistani airstrikes on various areas of Afghanistan, Islamabad is attempting to conceal its internal crises and failures by levying baseless accusations against Kabul. This reaction came after Pakistani fighter jets targeted parts of the Kunar, Paktia, and Paktika provinces.<\/p>\n
According to a statement from the ministry, at least 36 civilians were killed and 163 others injured as a result of these attacks. The Taliban administration emphasized that this incident constitutes a violation of Afghanistan’s airspace and the bombing of civilians, calling it contrary to the principles of good neighborliness.<\/p>\n
The statement added that the Pakistani embassy charg\u00e9 d’affaires in Kabul was summoned and the Taliban administration\u2019s \u201cstrong and unequivocal\u201d protest regarding these attacks was conveyed to him. At the same time, the responsibility for ensuring the security of citizens and preventing the recurrence of such incidents is among the issues that the Taliban administration is expected to be accountable for.<\/p>\n
The Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs further noted that this is not the first time Pakistan has attributed security incidents within its own territory to Afghanistan without providing credible evidence. According to the ministry, continuing this approach not only fails to resolve problems but also harms bilateral relations, mutual trust, and regional stability.<\/p>\n
