Local Taliban authorities in Kandahar province announced that two armed men were killed on Sunday evening, 28 June, following a clash with Taliban forces in Kandahar city. The incident took place in the fourth district near a building known as “Lalk Mama.” <\/p>\n
Asadullah Jamshid, spokesperson for the Taliban police command in Kandahar, stated that the armed individuals intended to steal 120 kilograms of silver and four billion Iranian tomans from a businessman. According to him, the businessman was transporting these goods from the currency exchange market when he was attacked. <\/p>\n
The police spokesperson did not provide further details about the identities of the deceased or the exact circumstances of the clash. Independent sources have not yet released separate information regarding the incident.<\/p>\n
