Afghanistan’s Taliban-led Ministry of Information and Culture has announced that the Deputy Minister for Tourism, Finance, and Administration met with the Iranian ambassador in Kabul to request the organization of educational and scientific seminars for professors of the Tourism and Hospitality Institute in Iran. According to the ministry, the goal of this request is to enhance the academic capacity of the instructors and benefit from Iran’s educational experience in the tourism sector.<\/p>\n
According to a statement released on Saturday, the meeting took place between Mawlawi Qudratullah Jamal and Iran\u2019s ambassador, Ali Reza Beikdeli, with the presence of the cultural attach\u00e9 of the Iranian embassy in Kabul. During the session, both sides discussed expanding tourism cooperation, facilitating the movement of tourists, providing ease for pilgrimage, medical, and educational travels, and developing joint cultural programs.<\/p>\n
Mawlawi Jamal, referring to the friendly relations between the two countries, emphasized the creation of facilities in tourism, healthcare, education, and the transportation of Karbala pilgrims. He also expressed readiness to draft a memorandum of understanding on joint cooperation, stating that the document will be signed by both parties once finalized.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Iranian ambassador highlighted the shared religious and cultural ties between the two nations and expressed willingness to expand bilateral cooperation. He assured that, with coordination among relevant institutions, arrangements would be made to hold specialized training seminars for professors of the Tourism and Hospitality Institute in both Afghanistan and Iran.<\/p>\n
