The Taliban administration’s embassy in Egypt announced that five Afghan nationals have been released from prisons in Libya and transferred back to Afghanistan after completing legal procedures. The embassy stated that efforts to secure the release of other Afghan detainees are ongoing.<\/p>\n
In a statement published on Saturday, the 27th of June, it was noted that this transfer was carried out in coordination with relevant institutions. It added that a number of other Afghan prisoners are expected to be repatriated to Afghanistan in the near future once their administrative procedures are completed.<\/p>\n
