Marco Rubio, the United States Secretary of State, stated that the US will not accept any charges on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz under any circumstances. He said this issue was raised at a recent meeting with Gulf countries, which he added also oppose imposing tariffs or fees on maritime traffic.<\/p>\n
Rubio added that the flow of ships through the Strait of Hormuz is being monitored by the US, and according to him, maritime navigation in this strategic passage should return to its pre-war condition. He also noted that Oman has expressed its opposition to such charges.<\/p>\n
In another part of his remarks, the US Secretary of State accused Iran of supporting Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen, describing this as interference in the internal affairs of these countries.<\/p>\n
He further emphasized that no money has been transferred to Iran so far, and Washington has not agreed to such an action. According to Rubio, no discussions have taken place regarding the creation of a reconstruction fund for Iran during talks with the Gulf countries.<\/p>\n
Rubio also stressed that the memorandum of understanding with Iran does not represent a final agreement, but rather outlines the general framework for negotiations.<\/p>\n
