Iran\u2019s airline company has announced that, according to a notification from Iraq\u2019s Ministry of Interior and the Immigration Department based at Najaf International Airport, acceptance of passengers with Afghan and Pakistani citizenship on outbound flights from Iran to Najaf and Baghdad has been restricted until further notice.<\/p>\n
Under this decision, the transfer of passengers holding Afghan and Pakistani passports to these two Iraqi cities is prohibited unless their visa copies are officially approved by the immigration office at the destination airport prior to the flight. This approval must be obtained before boarding.<\/p>\n
The notice states that spouses, children, minors, and individuals over 50 years old are exempt from this restriction. However, young and single Afghan or Pakistani men who do not fall under these categories will not be permitted to board, even if they hold a valid Iraqi visa.<\/p>\n
The Iranian airline has advised Afghan and Pakistani travelers to carefully review the newly announced conditions before purchasing tickets and planning their trips to avoid issues at the airports.
