In Calgary, Canada, human rights advocates holding a rally declared that Afghan women under Taliban rule face gender apartheid. They urged the Human Rights Council, UN special rapporteurs, and governments to break their silence and take concrete measures to provide practical support for Afghan women.<\/p>\n
