These incidents took place in Gaza City, Beit Lahia, Khan Younis, and Al-Bureij refugee camp.

According to health sources, an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in the Sabra area of Gaza City killed four people, including two women and a child, and completely destroyed one apartment. Several others were injured in the attack. The Israeli army stated that it targeted an armed individual but provided no further details regarding civilian casualties or the operation.

In a separate event, Israeli forces shot and killed a woman in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza. Additionally, an attack on Khan Younis in the south of the region resulted in at least one death and eight injuries.

Hours later, an airstrike on the Al-Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza left three dead, including Ahmed Weshah, Al Jazeera’s cameraman. Al Jazeera described the incident as a “horrific crime” and noted that Weshah was killed nearly two months after the death of his brother, Mohammad Weshah, who was also a reporter for the network.

The Israeli army claimed Ahmed Weshah was a member of Hamas and acted as a sniper; however, it did not release evidence to support this claim. Hamas and Al Jazeera have rejected the allegation. Al Jazeera added that with Ahmed Weshah’s death, the number of its journalists killed in Gaza since October 2023 has risen to 12.

According to reports, nearly 300 Palestinian journalists have been killed since the war began in October 2023, raising concerns about the safety of reporters in conflict zones. Media organizations have repeatedly called for the protection of journalists and adherence to international humanitarian law.

Despite a ceasefire declared in October last year, Israeli attacks on Gaza have continued. The Gaza Ministry of Health reported that over 1,010 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire’s implementation. During the same period, Palestinian armed groups have killed four Israeli soldiers in Gaza.

Israel states that its operations aim to prevent attacks by Hamas and other armed groups. Meanwhile, disputes between Israel and Hamas continue over the next phase of a proposed plan by U.S. President Donald Trump. Israel insists on disarming Hamas and removing the group from power in Gaza, while Hamas has conditioned any complete disarmament on the start of a political process to establish an independent Palestinian state.

According to Israeli statistics, about 1,200 people were killed in the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. The Gaza Ministry of Health reported that since that time, more than 73,000 Palestinians have died in the region.

At least nine people, including Al Jazeera cameraman Ahmed Weshah, were killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza, raising concerns over journalist safety.

[17,6

post-15678","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-international
["GET
