This warning comes as many families face serious living difficulties amid widespread poverty and food shortages.

The EU’s humanitarian department stated that the union continues to support lifesaving food and nutrition programs in Afghanistan. However, despite ongoing aid, the level of need is such that current actions are insufficient, and the global community must provide a broader response by securing more funds and expanding solidarity.

Meanwhile, the Taliban-led Ministry of Economy has called on the international community to separate humanitarian issues from political ones. Abdul Latif Nazari, the ministry’s professional deputy, emphasized that aid to those in need should be increased and deemed it a responsibility of the global community.

Nonetheless, the ongoing livelihood crisis in the country raises questions about the effectiveness of the Taliban administration’s economic and managerial policies. Several years after their return to power, a large portion of Afghanistan’s population remains dependent on external aid to meet basic living needs.

Previously, the United Nations reported that nearly 21.9 million people—approximately 45 percent of Afghanistan’s population—require humanitarian assistance. This figure underscores that the livelihood crisis remains one of the most significant challenges facing the people of Afghanistan.

The EU warns that Afghanistan’s hunger crisis is critical, urging the world to increase aid amid widespread poverty and food shortages.

[7,17,16

post-15662","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-business","category-important-news","category-secondary-headline
["GET
