According to a statement from the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment, Mohammad Yousuf Ghazanfar, the head of the chamber, pointed to the historical, cultural, and economic ties between Afghanistan and Iran, stating that there are extensive capacities to develop cooperation in trade, transit, and investment sectors. He called on Iranian investors to invest in areas such as oil and gas, agriculture, manufacturing industries, and textile factories, particularly in Balkh.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Mahmoud Sayadat, head of the Afghanistan-Iran Joint Chamber of Commerce, described Balkh as one of the important economic centers in northern Afghanistan. He said that improvements in security have created a more suitable environment for investment growth and the expansion of economic activities. He identified the development of railway lines, strengthening transit corridors, and holding joint trade exhibitions as key factors in increasing trade exchanges between the two countries.<\/p>\n
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides stressed the continuation of joint meetings among traders, the establishment of a joint investment fund, and the strengthening of bilateral economic relations.<\/p>\n
