These lands have been allocated to provide permanent shelter for the returning families.

According to a statement released by the ministry on Wednesday, land plots have been handed over to eligible families in Nangarhar, Farah, Helmand, Nimroz, Samangan, and Balkh provinces. Officials from the ministry stated that the distribution process is continuing under the framework of the settlement program.

Based on the figures provided, 401 families in Nangarhar, 235 in Farah, 270 in Samangan, 102 in Balkh, 60 in Helmand, and 34 in Nimroz have benefited from this initiative.

The Ministry of Urban Development added that all 1,102 families received land on Tuesday alone, bringing the total number of beneficiary families nationwide to 47,089.

However, clear details regarding the provision of basic infrastructure services in these areas, including access to water, electricity, schools, and health centers, have yet to be provided.
