According to the administration, the highest number of these families entered Afghanistan through the Torkham border crossing.<\/p>\n<p>Hamdullah Fetrat, deputy spokesperson for the Taliban administration, stated in a press release on Monday, June 15, that 375 families comprising 2,043 people have returned to the country solely via the Torkham crossing. He added that returns have also continued through other border points.<\/p>\n<p>The press release detailed that 37 families entered from the Spin Boldak border in Kandahar province, 16 families from the Islam Qala border in Herat province, and 44 families from the Nimroz provincial border.<\/p>\n<p>These developments come amid ongoing expulsions and returns of Afghan migrants from certain neighboring countries, particularly Iran and Pakistan. Many of these families face severe economic and social challenges upon return.<\/p>\n<p>A number of returnee families are confronting poverty, unemployment, lack of shelter, and limited access to health and educational services.
