Mawlawi Paqarullah Jamal, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Finance, and Administration at the Taliban’s Ministry of Information and Culture, met with officials from the Union of Tourism, Pilgrimage, Hajj, and Umrah Companies of Nangarhar province to discuss the activities and challenges faced by this sector.<\/p>\n
According to a communiqu\u00e9 released by Bakhtar Agency, Fazl-ur-Rahim Zwakman, head of the mentioned union, expressed gratitude for what he described as the Taliban administration’s “attention and support,” pledging to improve the quality and professional standards of services provided by these companies.<\/p>\n
Union members called for accelerating the licensing process during the meeting and proposed initiatives to attract tourists, including hosting a handicrafts exhibition at the historic Seraj-ul-Amarat Garden and expanding tourism activities in Nangarhar. They also expressed readiness to invest in the reconstruction and enhancement of the province\u2019s tourist sites.<\/p>\n
Union officials emphasized their commitment to cooperating with the Ministry of Information and Culture in organizing tourism affairs, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring order.<\/p>\n
In response, the deputy minister stated that the requests and suggestions would be shared with other relevant departments within the Taliban administration. He stressed the importance of tourism and pilgrimage companies providing quality services and added that the ministry supports their activities.<\/p>\n
