Mary Trump, American author and psychologist as well as niece of Donald Trump, has stated that the current US president is experiencing a “severe and evident cognitive decline.” In an interview with the “Daily Beast” podcast, she claimed that the results of Trump’s annual cognitive assessments show a significant deterioration in his mental abilities.<\/p>\n
According to the Irish Star, Mary Trump questioned the president’s mental health and added that the existing signs remind her of her father, who died from Alzheimer’s disease. She noted that the similarities in the progression of cognitive decline are notable.<\/p>\n
The psychologist also asserted that Donald Trump has struggled with an “inability to control the narrative,” and according to her, there are signs of declining physical control as well. She further mentioned that some long-term psychological disorders, which she believes have existed since Trump’s first term in the Oval Office, have never been officially diagnosed or treated.<\/p>\n
Mary Trump emphasized that this situation makes the president’s return to balance more difficult, and even his closest supporters find it increasingly hard to ignore.
