Local officials in Panjshir province have announced that with the expansion of mining activities in the region, the precious green garnet stone has been added to the list of extractable minerals. According to them, the extraction process of this stone has already begun in certain areas.<\/p>\n
Authorities say that currently 15 other types of precious stones have also been identified in Panjshir and their extraction is ongoing. Panjshir has long been recognized as one of Afghanistan’s most important sources of emeralds, and now the mining of rubies and other precious stones is also being pursued in the province.<\/p>\n
According to provided information, ten sites containing green garnet mines have been confirmed in the Anaba district, and extraction work has officially started at these locations.<\/p>\n
