According to the administration, the largest number of returnees came through the Torkham border.

Hamdullah Fetrat, deputy spokesman for the Taliban administration, said in a statement on Saturday, June 13, that 601 families, comprising 3,161 individuals, entered Afghanistan through the Torkham crossing alone. Additionally, 99 families returned via the Spin Boldak crossing in Kandahar province, 37 families through the Nimroz border, and 16 families returned via Islam Qala in Herat province.

In recent months, the return and expulsion of Afghan migrants from neighboring countries has increased, with hundreds of families arriving continuously. Many of these families return to Afghanistan facing economic hardships and a lack of job opportunities.

Meanwhile, Georgette Gagnon, head of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), recently expressed concern to the UN Security Council about the insufficient facilities for housing and employment of returning migrants. Despite the rising wave of returns, the Taliban administration has yet to present a clear and comprehensive plan to provide sustainable support to these families, raising growing concerns about the livelihoods of returnees.

753 Afghan families returned in one day amid rising repatriations, facing economic challenges and lacking sufficient support from the Taliban administration.

[17,16

post-15058","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-secondary-headline
["GET
