Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sharply criticized Israel on Thursday during a speech in Ankara, accusing the current Israeli cabinet of pursuing killings and spreading discord and tension in the region. He described the ongoing situation in the region, especially in Lebanon and Gaza, as a consequence of Tel Aviv’s actions.<\/p>\n
In part of his remarks, Erdogan called Israeli officials “brutal” and warned that they will sooner or later pay the price for the blood they have shed. He also claimed that Tel Aviv\u2019s leaders follow the methods of Adolf Hitler, the leader of Nazi Germany, and that their fate will be like other oppressors in history.<\/p>\n
Referring to Lebanon\u2019s condition, the Turkish president said the country is suffering from what he termed “the crimes of brutal Zionism.” These statements come amid continued tensions in the Middle East and increasing regional responses to the developments in Gaza and Lebanon.<\/p>\n
Erdogan further praised the Turkish Red Crescent\u2019s efforts, stating that since October 7, the organization has distributed 15 million meals among 30,000 people in the Gaza Strip and sent 26,000 tons of humanitarian aid to the area.<\/p>\n
He added that the Turkish Red Crescent not only operates in Palestine but also provides aid in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Afghanistan, Somalia, Iraq, and Syria.
