The agency reported that awareness campaigns in Herat province continue to encourage families to vaccinate their children.

According to UNICEF, this program is implemented with the support of the charitable organization King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief). As part of the initiative, social mobilizers visit various areas in Herat to meet with residents, providing information about the risks of polio and the importance of vaccination.

UNICEF emphasized that family cooperation in bringing children for vaccination plays a crucial role in preventing the spread of the virus. Polio is a contagious viral disease that primarily targets children under the age of five and can cause permanent paralysis.

The agency added that only through ongoing vaccination campaigns and widespread awareness efforts can the goal of completely eradicating polio be achieved, thereby safeguarding the health of future generations.

UNICEF intensifies vaccination and awareness efforts in Herat to eradicate polio and protect children from permanent paralysis.

[9,17

post-14952","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-health","category-important-news
["GET
