The United Nations Children\u2019s Fund (UNICEF) has emphasized the significant role of child activities in nutrition and development centers in improving children’s health and primary education. On Wednesday, June 10th, UNICEF released images of a young girl at one of these centers in Kabul, underscoring the importance of such programs.<\/p>\n
According to published information, the child was engaged in drawing at the mentioned center, and her mother stated that activities like drawing, storytelling, and group games have a remarkable impact on children\u2019s mental and social development.<\/p>\n
UNICEF added that 50 centers of this kind operate across various areas, providing children and their families with access to nutrition services and early childhood development programs close to their homes.<\/p>\n
The Early Childhood Development (ECD) program includes health care, proper nutrition, strengthening language and cognitive skills, emotional and social growth, and teaching interaction with others. This life stage is considered the foundation for shaping a child\u2019s future capabilities.<\/p>\n
In recent years, ongoing wars, chronic economic crises, and increasing poverty in Afghanistan have deprived many children of access to healthy nutrition and primary education.
