According to him, repressive approaches cannot replace popular legitimacy.

Faiq emphasized that violating the dignity, honor, and respect of citizens, especially women, has no place in Islam, Afghan culture, or human values. He added that no religion or belief system justifies oppression, humiliation, or violence against women, and such behaviors are in clear contradiction with Islamic and human principles.

The Acting Permanent Representative of Afghanistan to the United Nations also noted that the country’s history has repeatedly shown that no political structure has survived through force, intimidation, imprisonment, and bloodshed. He warned that legitimacy cannot be achieved through repression, and the voices of citizens seeking justice cannot be silenced forever.

In recent months, multiple reports have emerged about the detention of protesting women and violent clashes with protest gatherings; an approach that has sparked widespread concerns domestically and internationally, once again highlighting the gap between the Taliban administration and the demands of a large part of society, especially women.

Afghanistan’s UN envoy Nasir Ahmad Faiq condemns Taliban’s repression of women as fear-driven, not a sign of power, highlighting widespread societal resistance.

[17,4,16

post-14877","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-politics","category-secondary-headline
["GET
