The Taliban’s Mining and Petroleum Directorate has announced that construction work on the Herat phase of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline project has reached approximately 52% completion. According to the directorate, a significant portion of the technical activities and route preparation for this phase has been completed.<\/p>\n
Homa Youn Afghan, spokesperson for the directorate, wrote on her X (formerly Twitter) page that so far, 80 kilometers of pipeline have been welded, and about 126 kilometers of the pipeline corridor or route has been prepared. She added that 108 kilometers of access and monitoring roads have also been constructed to facilitate the work.<\/p>\n
