Some sellers in Herat markets consider the lack of organized export routes for fruits and vegetables as a major factor in the market slump. They emphasize that without clear export planning, large volumes of domestic production remain without consumers, leading to price reductions.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Herat Chamber of Commerce and Investment has announced that onion exports have now begun; however, no practical measures have yet been taken regarding watermelons. Economic experts say the Taliban administration is obligated to facilitate exports and regulate the market to prevent further losses for farmers.
