The movement described these arrests as evidence of escalating violence and the ongoing systematic violation of women’s rights in Afghanistan. Through a video posted on its X (formerly Twitter) page, the movement strongly denounced the actions and labeled them as part of restrictive policies against women.<\/p>\n
In a statement, the movement said that detaining and mistreating women under the pretext of improper hijab wearing is a blatant violation of fundamental human rights principles. The organization emphasized that such measures not only curtail women\u2019s personal freedoms but also expand an atmosphere of fear and pressure across various regions of the country.<\/p>\n
The Afghan Women\u2019s Justice Movement called on the public, human rights organizations, and the international community not to remain silent against what it termed gender discrimination and systematic oppression of women, urging them to show practical support for Afghan women.<\/p>\n
