However, the Taliban administration has not provided any explanation regarding the funding of this 25 million Afghani project, and the source of the finance remains unclear.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past five years, the Taliban authorities have concentrated heavily on building mosques and religious schools across various parts of the country. Hibatullah Akhundzada, the group&#8217;s leader, had ordered the construction of dozens of mosques along highways two years ago.<\/p>\n<p>This development comes as Afghanistan\u2019s highways and roads face serious safety challenges due to decades of war and neglect of infrastructure development, resulting in numerous traffic accidents annually.
