The talks focused on regional developments and the future of the Urumqi Process.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Yu wrote on his social media account X that both sides &#8220;had a constructive dialogue on regional developments and emphasized hope for lasting peace and security.&#8221; This meeting occurred following his visit to Islamabad on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s Special Representative in Pakistan also met with Amina Bilouch, Pakistan&#8217;s Foreign Secretary, and Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan&#8217;s Special Representative for Afghanistan. These meetings stressed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation, a joint fight against terrorism threats originating from Afghan territory, and support for the Urumqi Process.<\/p>\n<p>The Urumqi Process, initiated in April, is considered an effort to establish a regional cooperation framework related to Afghanistan; however, no tangible progress has been reported so far.
