Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s Foreign Minister, stated that Israel does not see a potential peace between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran as being in its own interest. He also described Israel’s recent actions in Lebanon as a “clear violation of the ceasefire” and emphasized the necessity of halting the conflicts.<\/p>\n
In remarks broadcast by Al Jazeera, Fidan said Turkey believes that reducing tensions between Washington and Tehran could contribute to regional stability. However, he noted that Israel does not regard such a process as aligned with its interests.<\/p>\n
The Turkish Foreign Minister added that Pakistan is also working to advance the talks, and Ankara is collaborating with Qatar to help bring the US-Iran negotiations to a successful conclusion. He did not provide further details about these collaborations.<\/p>\n
Referring to the security situation in the region, Fidan stressed the urgent need to establish a ceasefire on all fronts. He asserted that Israel’s actions in Lebanon contradict ceasefire agreements and could escalate tensions in the region.<\/p>\n
