Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, spoke via phone with his Pakistani counterpart, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, to express concerns over the violation of the ceasefire in Lebanon and the potential attack on Beirut.<\/p>\n
A statement released by the ministry on Monday said the two sides discussed the current regional situation. According to the statement, Araghchi expressed worry about recent developments, including what has been described as Israel’s breach of the ceasefire in Lebanon and the possibility of an attack on the country’s capital.<\/p>\n
The Pakistani Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of ensuring the continuation of the ceasefire, stressing that maintaining existing understandings is essential to prevent escalation of tensions in the region.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Araghchi had posted on social media that the ceasefire between Iran and the United States “without any ambiguity” includes all fronts, including Lebanon.
