Their graves are marked with their names and details, and the site has become a place where Taliban members and supporters gather to pray and pay respects on occasions such as religious holidays.

According to available information, the Taliban administration has spent significant funds over the past nearly five years on rebuilding cemeteries for those killed in battles. In some of these areas, mosques have also been constructed. These actions come as the Taliban refer to their fallen suicide attackers with honorific language.

Meanwhile, many Afghan civilians have also lost their lives in Taliban’s suicide and explosive attacks over recent years; the victims’ families are still awaiting justice and accountability. The focus on glorifying the perpetrators of these attacks has consistently drawn criticism from victims’ families and civil society organizations.

The Shorabak base in Helmand, after Bagram, was one of the largest foreign military bases in Afghanistan, hosting American, British, and several NATO member forces. After the withdrawal of foreign troops, the base was handed over to the security forces of the previous Afghan government.

Dozens of Taliban suicide attackers killed in Helmand’s Shorabak base attacks have been buried in a dedicated cemetery, sparking criticism from victims’ families.

[17,5

post-14057","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-important-news","category-security-incidents
["GET
