He questioned why the Taliban administration is preventing independent fact-finding missions from accessing prisons and detention centers and why these facilities remain closed to international organizations.<\/p>\n
According to the former intelligence chief, the governing structure that holds all decision-making and executive powers cannot appear unaccountable in the face of such allegations. He stressed that the leadership of the Taliban administration bears responsibility for any potential incidents in the prisons, and accountability in this matter is a fundamental principle of good governance.<\/p>\n
Nabil also criticized the silence of certain religious scholars, stating that defending human dignity, respecting women, and supporting the oppressed are fundamental Islamic values that should not be ignored in the face of these claims. These remarks come as the Taliban administration continues to deny reports concerning human rights violations in its detention centers.<\/p>\n
